Providing Quality Education for the Needs of Members and their Practices

Live Education

AANS supports neurosurgeons from residency to retirement. Live and online course offerings encompass all aspects of practice to ensure success.

Goodman Oral Boards Preparation Course

Over 90 percent of diplomates prepare for the pivotal ABNS Oral Board Exam with the AANS Goodman Oral Board Preparation course. The tailored breakout sessions and comprehensive plenary sessions prepare participants with interactive training that is unparalleled in organized neurosurgery. Highly-respected faculty conduct mock exams to prepare attendees for success at this pivotal moment in the neurosurgery career.

Managing Coding & Reimbursement in Neurosurgery

Approximately 500 coders, office staff and neurosurgeons have participated in Managing Coding & Reimbursement in Neurosurgery courses in FY18. This deep dive into coding and practice management strengthens coding skills to increase reimbursement, so the focus is on the patient, instead of reimbursement issues.

“Excellent faculty. Everyone was dedicated to helping the candidates. Absolutely essential for anyone taking the boards”

“This course is a must for any neurosurgical practice. [This] AANS coding course has provided our practice with the tools it needs to send out correct claims and receive less denials with much faster turnaround time for reimbursements.”
